I have the pleasure of writing to you as Sales Manager of ASD Athena Volley

Scampia.

Our Sports club has been operating for 13 years promoting and organizing championships and events in the

Volleyball discipline mainly in the Scampia area embracing the entire territory of the

Municipality VIII of the Municipality of Naples. A complex territory, but with important human resources,

ability and desire for redemption beyond the norm.

Like many large companies, we start from the dream of three young people who, with the strength of their IDEAS alone,

TENACITY and WILL, have built a meeting point, of inclusion, of sociality for

young people of this territory too often left to themselves.

Over time this dream has become an increasingly concrete and engaging reality, our values

have become those of the young people we train: respect, collaboration, discipline and

constancy. We left in 2009 with only six boys and everything was missing: uniforms,

balls, equipment, gym. Today, July 2022, our Sodality boasts within it the

participation of the first men's team in the SERIE B National Championship. The sector

youth has over 215 members aged between 5 and 35 years.

Throughout its short history the club has achieved extraordinary results:

 2011-2012 season promotion to the women's First Division.

 2013-2014 season promotion to the men's First Division.

 2014-2015 season play-off women's first division.

 2015-2016 season second place Second Under 14 Division for women.

 2015-2016 season promotion to women's Serie D.

 2016-2017 season promotion to men's Serie D.

 2016-2017 season first place Under 12 mixed.

 2016-2017 season second place Second women's division.

 2016-2017 season second place Under 13 mixed 3 × 3 second phase.

 2016-2017 season third place Under 16 female eighth of provincial final.

 2017-2018 season first place Second Under 14 men's division, with promotion in

First Division.

 2017-2018 season first place in the Men's Second Division, with promotion to the First Division

Division.

 2017-2018 season first place Second Under 16 women's division, promotion to

First Division.

 2017-2018 season second place Under 13 mixed 3 × 3.

 2017-2018 season second place Under 14 men.

 2017-2018 season third place Under 16 women.

 2017-2018 Under 18 men's season provincial quarter-finals.

 2018-2019 season third place in the Youth Men's First Division.

 2018-2019 season third place Men's First Division second phase.

In particular, the activities carried out with the youth categories were subject to Certification

through the Biennial Youth Sector Quality Mark in the 2017-19 sports seasons and

2019-2021 issued by the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV).

Altogether 265 people are involved in the activity including athletes, managers and technicians over

families who follow competitive practice with passion.

The extraordinary path of the men's team and the growth of the entire group has attracted

the attention of TVs too. The event on 7 June 2022, thanks to the collaboration

of the Melissa Bassi Scholastic Institute which granted the areas of the school and advertised by

TGR Campania, was honored by the extraordinary participation of Cristina Chirichella

(Reigning European champion), captain of the women's volleyball team and Alberto

Cisolla (silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics). Their presence, especially that

della Chirichella athlete of our land, who started from Casoria and is today at the world summit of Volleyball

for us and for our young people the signal that stories can be born from this territory

extraordinary.

Our dream continues. We thank the samples for their participation and for the donation of

balls suitable for the SERIE B championship, but this is for US the start of an even greater dream.

Give our kids a structure. Some schools in the Territory have denied us the

opportunity to use their important structure, the politicians of the area were not very careful until

to date. But that hasn't stopped us nor will it stop us.

We always thank the Melissa Bassi Institute which has allowed us to use yours up to now

gym, which for participation in the Serie B championship needs important and expensive

regulatory adjustments. Important costs for a company like ours.

We need entrepreneurship, politics and the territory to support us!
