Description
Zahra Nemati is an archer of the Iranian national team.
Until her car accident in 2003, she successfully competed in taekwondo.
In 2006, she took up archery and only half a year later came third in the national championships.
With her gold medal at the 2012 Paralympics in Lodon, she became the first Iranian woman in history to win a gold medal at the Paralympics or Olympic Games.
Zahra Nemati is currently ranked number one female Paralympic archer. She plans to compete in the 2021 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
